Namche, Our Home in the Himalayas
Most people know Namche Bazaar as the gateway to Everest. For us, it is much more than a stop along the trekking route—it is home. Every morning, we watch trekkers arrive tired from the trail, carrying stories from the mountains. Our village slowly wakes with the first light, as shops open, prayer flags move gently in the mountain wind, and the peaks begin to glow above the valley. Living here has taught us to appreciate the quiet moments. A cup of warm tea, a conversation by the fire, a walk through the stone paths, or simply looking across the valley can become a beautiful part of the day. We love welcoming travelers into our home and giving them a glimpse of everyday life in our Sherpa community. Through hosting, we have met people from many different places and shared countless stories around the table. Namche is surrounded by some of the world's highest mountains, but its true beauty is in its people, traditions, and sense of community. We hope that when you stay with us, you don't just pass through Namche on your way to Everest—you take a little time to know the village we are proud to call home.
