Ilam's first-flush tea — harvested in March and April when the new leaves are just unfurled — is among Asia's finest and commands premium prices at Darjeeling auctions where it is often sold under a Darjeeling label. This family owns one of the original small processing factories and welcomes guests to witness the full process.
