A family-hosted mountain-view village stay in Nuwakot Durbar, Nuwakot, Nepal. 4 rooms sleeping up to 10 guests, from NPR 1,400 per night. Standard and Mountain View rooms available to book.
For centuries before a road was built, porters carried salt, grain, and textiles on this trade route connecting Nuwakot to the high passes. Our family worked the route as porters and later as inn-keepers — the house still has the original hitching post for mule teams.
