Bungamati & Khokana, Lalitpur
Hosted by Santa Limbu
Khokana has been pressing mustard oil using stone-wheel presses driven by water buffalo for over 600 years — the scent of raw mustard permeates the entire village from the presses that still operate every morning. This home is adjacent to one of the original oil presses that survived the 2015 earthquake.
